It Cosmetics “Your Skin But Better” CC Cream in Fair - £30.00

Until recently IT Cosmetics has been hard to get your hands on if you live in the UK, but now the brand is available through QVC & Selfridges. Ever since I seen Lily Pebbles & The Anna Edit haul the IT Cosmetics CC Cream years ago I have been dying to get my hands on it. It’s a full coverage CC cream with anti-ageing properties and an SPF of 50, you get 32ml of product (which is slightly more than a standard foundation) and it is available in 7 shades. I picked up the shade Fair and I do think it’s a pretty good match for my pale skin (for reference i’m NW13).

Packaging - The packaging of this product is so sleek, It’s a squeezy tube with a pump at the end and a transparent strip so you can easily see the shade. I find with this type of packaging you can measure how much product you're using, and you can get the last bits of product out.

Product Review - IT Cosmetics claims that it’s a full coverage cream and while I do think it is pretty full coverage for a CC cream, I still need to go in with a full coverage concealer to hide any imperfections, so I would say that this is more of a light to medium coverage for a base product. The finish is pretty dewy so if your all about glowy products with a lighter coverage then this would be perfect, however I do think that if anyone has an oily/combination skin type then they would defiantly need to use a good setting powder to make this last. I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry areas on my chin and cheeks, so when set right I usually get about 3-4 hours out of this before needing to re-touch. The only thing that would make me hesitant to repurchase this is that it’s a heavily fragranced product, it has a citrus scent which smell’s lovely, however because my skin is sensitive and acne prone I find that if I wear this for more than 2-3 days in a row I will break out.

Too Faced Hangover RX Primer - £27.00

I feel like I was the only person in the world who hadn’t tried this primer.. Okay maybe that is a slight exaggeration but this is a very hyped product in the beauty world. The Too Faced Hangover RX Primer is silicone free primer with coconut water, probiotic based ingredients and skin reviver’s that claim to replenish the skin. Too Faced boldly claim it makes "you look like you received eight hours of sleep and drank your daily dose of H2O”, as someone who rarely gets a full 8 hours sleep and definitely doesn’t get my daily dose of H2O I feel like this could be one of my all time favourites!

Packaging - Again the packaging for this is super sleek, like the IT Cosmetics CC Cream it’s a squeezy tube with a pump at the end so it ensures that you can use the correct amount of product and that you can get every last drop, plus it makes these type of products great for travelling with. I really like the packaging on all the Too Faced products, they tend to have really feminine designs and it makes their products really eye catching and definitely appealing to display!

Product Review - The Formula of this product is quite a thin and creamy texture and I think you can instantly tell that it’s going to be really hydrating. On the skin it does leave a little bit of tackiness but this dries down within a minute or so. I do find that when I apply this primer my foundation looks a little more radiant and it does last longer throughout the day, plus when I take my makeup off at the end of the day I can definitely tell it’s been hydrating my skin. As for skin care benefits I haven’t noticed anything long term but I did buy this for the hydrating properties alone. It is a lightly scented product but I don’t find that it’s irritating to the skin. I think when my travel size runs out I will be running out to buy the full size..The hype behind this is real!

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer - £25.00

I sometimes think it hard to find a bronzer when you have pale skin, something thats not too orange yet something with enough warmth to give you a glow. One of my favourite bronzers is the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer as the tone is beautiful and it’s so blendable, but unless you want to pay ridiculous prices it's unavalible in the UK. I’ve been eyeing up the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Bronzer for a while now, Too Faced say it’s “infused with antioxidant rich cocoa powder and signature bronzing pigments to create a unique matte bronzer that neutralises red and evens skin tone” and as I’d just hit pan on my Butter Bronzer I knew I needed to try it out.

Packaging - So again Too Faced smashed it with the packaging. It’s a gold plastic compact that looks and feels quite luxurious yet still very feminine and pretty. It has a mirror in the compact that adds to the high end feel of the product, and makes it more suitable to use on a day to day basis when your out and about.

Product Review - I have really come to love this bronzer. It’s a matte bronzer thats so blendable on the skin, it has a slightly warm undertone and it’s not overly pigmented so you can really build up a natural look. The bronzer has quite a strong scent to it and you can really smell the cocoa powder thats in the product, which I personally love and it doesn’t break me out, however if you are sensitive to strong scents this might not be the best bronzer for you. I’m not sure if it evens out my skin tone or neutralises redness as when I apply makeup I always wear a foundation underneath, but it leaves the skin with a gorgeous healthy glow and it sits really well on top of makeup.  It’s such a beautiful bronzer which has become a staple in my routine!

L'oreal Paradise Extatic Mascara - £11.99

I picked this up while I was in my local Superdrug's completely on a whim, I’m usually the type of girl who does an MI6 style investigation before buying anything because I hate when products disappoint, so this was a little out of the ordinary for me. I do have quite long lashes and they do hold a curl so I don’t really find myself looking for anything extra special when it comes to mascara (except I HATE when mascara smudges). Mascara isn’t something that I really look forward to buying, it just doesn’t excite me the way an eyeshadow palette would, so I was quite shocked when this caught my eye and I knew I needed to buy it.

Packaging - The packaging for this reminds me of the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara (which I would probably say is my favourite), it has rose gold packaging which looks really pretty and does make it look quite luxurious but it doesn’t have that same weighty feel that a lot of high end mascaras do have.

Product Review - The wand on this mascara is a brush (I really don’t like the plastic wands) thats packed with quite a lot of bristles to volumize the lashes, it has a slight hourglass shape which also helps to lift the lashes. The actual formula is quite a wet consistency and the shade is a really deep black. I’ve read that this mascara is designed to be a “one coat wonder” and on my lashes I would agree, I have tried to build this up a little bit and it can get slightly clumpy so I would advise only using one coat. One thing I have noticed is that it does seem to dry up quite quickly and with that it does start to become a little flakey. I do think this is a good high street dupe for the Too Faced mascara but out of the 2 I think I would rather pay that bit extra for the Better Than Sex Mascara.

Have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts on them?

Steph xx
